I have been fortunate to know Carter’s family for a while now because I photographed his older brother Max’s senior session a few years ago. Carter is so fun, social and easy going. He was up for anything I suggested and had some moves of his own too. I loved getting to know and spend time with him!

His early July session brought us perfect weather. As we strolled the streets of downtown Hartland stopping along the way for pictures in between light conversation I learned more about Carter and his future plans. We moved on to his school, Lake Country Lutheran, for some sunset sports photos. His mom pulled a few strings to get the stadium lights turned on for this portion of his session. So awesome!

Carter is quite the athlete…read on to see more about that. Wow! But honestly, my favorite is his shout out to who has contributed to his success. LOVE!

Meet Carter

For fun I like to…
play football, basketball, hang with my friends, fish, and go for bike rides.

My dream job is…
to be a Financial Advisor, just like my dad.

My favorite memory in high school so far was…
the whole homecoming week of senior year and homecoming itself. We beat our rival on their homecoming game that was aired on TV; we then go and win our biggest game of the year for our homecoming game. I wouldn’t trade that week for the world!

What I’m looking forward to this after high school is…
making memories with my buddies, before we all go off to college.

My favorite snack…
watermelon sour patch kids.

What will you miss most about the last four years?
Honestly, everything; from the teachers, to the sports, to my friends, my parents, my siblings, I’ll miss all of it when I go off to college. Everyone always said that these four years would go by so quick, and now I know that they weren’t lying.

Something on your bucket list..
is going skydiving or watching a courtside NBA game.

Some high school accomplishments were…
I was the All Region Corner Back; I made the WFCA All star game for Wide Receiver, and we won the D3 State championship in 2022 for basketball!

After I graduate I plan to…
either go to Appalachian State in Boone, NC or stay in state…I haven’t fully decided yet.

My proudest moment was…
winning against a team, not many people thought we would beat, during our Senior Homecoming football game on a game winning field goal.

My favorite class/subject in high school is/was…
Business Foundations; it was a fun class with the best teacher.

Dream vacation…Belgium or the Dominican Republic.

Favorite local place to eat…Chipotle, all day.

Have lunch with anyone (alive or dead)…who? James Harden, easy.

Something you’d rate 10/10…Any moment when your with your friends and you all can’t stop laughing over something.

Who would you like to shout out to that contributed to your success? My dad and my mom; they both don’t get enough credit for taking care of me…they both deserve long vacations for it.

Favorite thing about our community… everyone is super kind; I’ve never met anybody here I don’t like.

Who inspires you to be better? My dad, always pushing me to be the best person I can be.
