Connor is a talented musician and a senior at Oconomowoc High School. I happened to reconnect with his parents during a quick hallway chat at school conferences last spring. His mom smiled and said, “We need to get on your calendar for Connor’s senior pictures!” I was stunned. The last time I saw Connor, he was just a little boy during one of their family portrait sessions. It’s wild how quickly time flies.

What a joy it was to work with him again—this time as a young man stepping into his next chapter. Connor has a quiet, calm presence, but the moment his instruments came out, you could see his passion light up the room.

We chose Fowler Park for the first part of his session, capturing some relaxed outdoor portraits before heading to the studio, where the real magic happened. Watching him with his instruments—violin, bass ukulele, even an accordion—was so inspiring. His genuine smile said it all: this is what he loves.

Connor, I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Your future is as bright as your talent, and I can’t wait to see where your music takes you!

A Special Message for Connor

Dear Connor,

Watching you grow has been one of the greatest joys of our lives, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved.

One of the qualities that we admire most about you is your quiet strength. You may not be the loudest voice in the room, but your presence is felt in so many subtle ways. Your kindness, your patience, and your ability to listen to others make you stand out in a world that often values noise over stillness. We want to remind you that being a quiet, thoughtful person is a gift. Don’t ever feel the need to change who you are to fit into someone else’s idea of success. The world needs more people like you—genuine, calm, and kind.

Your love of music has been such a beautiful part of who you are. There’s something so special about the way you connect with music—and like your Dad, you love to explore the multiple layers of a song. The music you have produced on your own has opened a window into your creativity and sense of self. Keep nurturing that love for music; it will continue to be a source of joy and comfort in your life.

As you move forward into this new chapter, know that the kindness you show others and the calmness you carry with you will always be more than enough. You don’t need to seek out loud applause or recognition. The impact you make, the lives you touch, will be immeasurable in ways that are often quiet and unseen, but always deeply felt.

Congratulations on your graduation, Connor. We can’t wait to see what comes next for you, and we know that with your gentle heart, your love of music, and your steady, kind spirit, you’ll continue to make the world a better place.

With all our love and pride,

Mom and Dad
