Meet Kendra—a soon-to-be graduate of Oconomowoc High School with a heart full of joy and a big dream of becoming a photographer. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Kendra and her family for many years, both through photographing them and crossing paths with her sweet mom at the YMCA.
When we sat down together to plan out her session, Kendra told me that she really wanted a “fairy tale” feel to her senior portrait session. The location I suggested to achieve this look worked perfectly for her vision, wouldn’t you agree? Dreaming up the story behind portrait sessions is probably my favorite part of what I do. That all happens at the initial consultation, when we chat about how we can make your portrait session special and meaningful.Last summer, Kendra spent some time shadowing me on sessions, learning the ins and outs of lighting and asking all the best questions. She’s bubbly, talkative, and wonderfully open, never afraid to share what’s on her heart. Her strong faith and joyful spirit shine in everything she does, and it’s been such a gift to watch her grow into the confident young woman she is today.

For fun I like to…
read, take photos and snowboard.
After I graduate I plan to…
go to WCTC for Business Management and start a photography business.
My favorite high school memory so far was…

My proudest moment was…
when I would get a good grade in a class.

Photography.
My dream job is…
to be a photographer.

Can you tell me some of your thoughts from your session and the entire photography experience? What were your favorite moments? What sticks out to you? You may want to consider the consult, session, reveal and products as well as the session itself!
The fun and light environment. The location that I picked.
What did you love about your photos?
They all turned out really good… My outfits.
I am always growing and would love to know…is there anything I could have done to make your experience better?
I can’t think of anything. I loved the whole experience.
