What a joy it was to get to know this beautiful Oconomowoc High School senior, and her sweet family too! Kaitlyn has already accomplished so much in high school, from competing at State in volleyball twice (before a knee injury took her out of the sport) to finding her passion in a career path. Before we get to her exciting plans, I have to share a few funny moments from her senior session that none of us will forget.

Every senior session comes with a little anticipation, especially when you’ve carefully planned every detail. But sometimes, things just don’t go according to plan… and that’s okay!

Kaitlyn came fully prepared with her outfits carefully selected, accessories on point, and ready to go. But within moments, her first outfit’s zipper broke before I even snapped a single photo. “No worries,” I told her. A little Photoshop magic can work wonders! Then, during the second outfit change, a spaghetti strap gave out completely. Some girls might have panicked, but not Kaitlyn. She took it all in stride, kept smiling, and we made it work. And guess what? Her portraits turned out gorgeous.

By the time we got to outfit number three (no mishaps this time!), we were all laughing and enjoying the moment even more. It was the perfect reminder that what really matters is the experience and the memories we create, not whether every detail goes perfectly.

Kaitlyn is finishing up the last few weeks of her senior year and will be heading off to a Big Ten university this fall. Keep reading to find out where she’s headed and what’s next for this go-with-the-flow senior who has big dreams!
