I am thrilled that when I met with Kristina & Joe this summer to discuss if we would be a good fit for each other we “clicked” and they chose me to photograph their upcoming wedding day. They are so easy going and fun to be around. I also love that when they were deciding where they would have their engagement session they considered where they enjoy spending time together and that was Whitnall Park. The night we shot there were scattered thunderstorms in the area. I came from a senior session at Nagawaukee Park during which we got rained on and had to take cover. When I finished up there I headed east right back into the storm. It didn’t look good but I kept driving. I called Kristina on the way to ask her how it looked over by them. We decided to continue as planned and thankfully everything worked out for the best. The storm veered north and we ended up with gorgeous light! It was fun to have them lead me around to all of their favorite places as believe it or not this was my first time shooting professionally at this park. I have taken my boys to the Wehr Nature Center many times when we lived in Milwaukee and photographed them at the waterfalls but never anyone else. I let them lead the way to all of these awesome spots. Check them out below, and pay close attention to the one where I told Kristina to stand on her tip toes and she lost her balance and fell into Joe. These two are the best!
