Sophia is one of those people who quietly impresses everyone around her. She’s incredibly talented musically, academically driven, and has such a sweet, kind nature about her. As a soon to be graduate of Divine Savior Holy Angels High School, she has had some truly unique experiences along the way. I was blown away reading through her questionnaire answers. Helping build a telescope that now sits at the South Pole? How amazing is that?!
When we sat down to plan her senior session, I learned that Sophia is an avid reader, so the Milwaukee Public Library felt like the perfect place to begin. Of course we photographed in the beautiful rotunda, but we were also given special permission to briefly photograph among the history stacks in the Humanities Room so she could be surrounded by something she loves so much: books.
From there, we headed to Wehr Nature Center, a place filled with childhood memories and years of exploration for Sophia. The waterfall made such a beautiful backdrop for her portraits. We wrapped up the evening at home with her family, including her beloved pets, Hermione the Corgi and Clover, her 19 year old long haired cat. We made sure to get portraits taken in the parlor, with her dad’s violin and sitting at the piano with her mom. So touching!
Sophia, your future is incredibly bright and your dreams are taking you to such exciting places. I have no doubt you are going to do amazing things, and I cannot wait to see where life takes you next.
